Job Description
A project engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that projects are executed effectively and efficiently. This involves ensuring compliance with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to lead and support project teams through complex projects. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with various stakeholders, including Global Engineering, Global EHS, and Global Procurement.
In this role, you will be responsible for concept and business case development, working closely with the project sponsor and end user to understand and clarify their requirements. You will also develop scope, cost, and budget estimates, and present them to governance for approval.
* Project Planning and Scheduling: You will use planning tools to manage complex projects on schedule and coordinate parallel activities.
* Project Design: You will design solutions in compliance with local/corporate safety standards and legislation, as well as corporate engineering and regulatory standards and guidelines.
* Liaison and Coordination: You will coordinate with facilities, EHS, QA, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Education: A degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
* Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience as a project engineer/manager in a pharmaceutical environment is required.
* Skills: Demonstrable skills in managing and executing projects from initiation to completion, including project life-cycle stage-gate process, programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
