Position Summary:
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all mechanical commissioning activities on the power plant site. The role ensures that all mechanical systems and equipment—including engines, pumps, piping, HVAC, and auxiliaries—are safely commissioned according to project specifications, industry standards, and operational readiness protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise day-to-day mechanical commissioning activities and personnel on site.
* Ensure all commissioning procedures, method statements, and safety protocols are followed.
* Coordinate pre-commissioning (flushing, pressure testing, alignment) and functional testing of mechanical equipment:
* Gas engines or turbines
* Lube oil, cooling water, and fuel systems
* Air and exhaust systems
* Mechanical BoP systems (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves)
* Liaise with OEMs during start-up and performance testing.
* Track progress using commissioning checklists and turnover systems.
* Conduct inspections, sign-off punch lists, and ensure close-out of mechanical works.
* Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of mechanical issues.
* Coordinate with electrical, I&C, and HSE teams to ensure integrated and safe commissioning execution.
* Review redline/as-built documentation and ensure mechanical systems meet handover criteria.
