Procurement Manager Job Opportunity
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining operational purchasing programs and processes, ensuring timely replenishment of raw materials and indirect products. Direct accountability includes material shortages, values, and volumes. The incumbent will work closely with Logistics to optimize inbound freight charges and associated physical storage costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To develop and implement best practice use of systems functionality (SAP, PP/MRP etc) to support the timely replenishment of raw materials.
2. To ensure that purchasing controls are maintained in line with corporate procurement policies and procedures.
3. To monitor supplier performance, taking corrective actions where necessary in accordance with corporate procedures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management (QQI level 8).
* A minimum of five years' experience within an inventory management/buying function within a manufacturing environment.
