The RoleWe’re looking for a motivated IT Support & Systems Administrator to join our team based in Kilrush, Co. Clare.This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years’ experience who is looking to move beyond basic support and develop strong skills in Microsoft 365, networking, and modern IT infrastructure.You’ll work as part of a small team supporting clients both remotely and on-site across Clare and beyond. This is a hands-on role with real exposure to cloud systems, networking, and cybersecurity, offering a clear path into advanced systems administration.We’re looking for someone curious, proactive, and eager to take ownership of their technical development.Key ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365 & Cloud (Core Focus)Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments including:Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDriveManage users, permissions, and identity using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device deployment, compliance, and securityImplement and maintain security controls including MFA and conditional accessSupport ongoing optimisation of client Microsoft 365 environmentsNetworking & InfrastructureManage and support client network environments including:LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networksTroubleshoot connectivity, performance, and access issuesAssist with network setup, upgrades, and documentationWork with firewalls and network security configurationsSystems AdministrationSupport Windows and macOS environmentsAssist in the administration of Windows Server and Active DirectoryPerform system updates, patching, and general maintenanceSupport backup and recovery processesSupport & Service DeliveryProvide 1st and 2nd line support to end usersDeliver support both remotely and on-site as requiredTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issuesWork within a ticketing/RMM system to manage and resolve issues efficientlySecurity & Best PracticeApply security best practices across endpoints and cloud systemsSupport endpoint protection and monitoring toolsAssist in implementing policies aligned with modern cybersecurity standardsPromote security awareness and good IT practices among usersDocumentation & DevelopmentContribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge baseDocument client environments and configurationsWork toward relevant certifications as part of your developmentRequirementsEssential2–4 years experience in an IT support or systems roleExperience supporting Windows and macOS environmentsHands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administrationUnderstanding of Active Directory and/or Entra IDBasic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a small teamFull driving licence and access to a vehicleDesirableExperience with Microsoft Intune or Endpoint ManagerFamiliarity with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)Experience with RMM or EDR toolsBasic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)What We OfferOngoing training and support toward certificationsExposure to modern Microsoft cloud and security technologiesCompany laptop, phone and broadband allowanceA supportive, close-knit team environmentCompany eventsHealthcare (Employer contribution after 12 months of employment)Pension (Company pension with matching contribution after 12 months of employment)
