We are currently seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing exceptional patient care on weekends.
About the Role
* This part-time position will involve working Saturdays and/or Sundays, treating a variety of skin ailments including verruca's, corns, calluses, etc.
* Our ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating ingrown toenails, clipping toe nails, and performing general feet tidy-ups.
* A key aspect of this role will be to provide preventative care and assistance to patients with diabetes at increased risk of foot disease.
Key Responsibilities
1. Treat patients with a range of conditions including verruca's, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, and other foot-related issues.
2. Assess and treat patients' medical histories, listening to their concerns and performing physical examinations to determine the condition of their feet, ankles, or lower legs.
3. Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower-leg problems through physical exams and other methods, prescribing special shoe inserts (orthotics) where necessary.
4. Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments, giving advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and general wellness techniques.
5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about patients' backgrounds and progress, referring patients to specialists if needed.
6. Meet continuous education requirements, maintaining an up-to-date CPD folder and writing patient case notes and reports.
7. Manage clinical risk and have excellent infection control awareness, supervising student and junior podiatrists when required.

Requirements
* Degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the relevant health authority.
