An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional to join a dynamic Financial Operations team within a leading organisation in Cork. This role focuses on delivering high-quality project reporting and financial control while working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic business goals.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate project accounting, reporting, and month-end processes, while contributing to continuous improvements across financial systems and services.
Qualified Accountants from either practice and/or industry are welcome to apply for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead project-related month-end close activities, including reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.
2. Deliver accurate financial reporting on project spend, capital costs, and performance insights for stakeholders.
3. Oversee fixed asset accounting and compliance with internal policies and standards.
4. Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve project accounting and system interface issues.
5. Monitor budget controls and ensure financial data integrity across systems.
6. Support external audit requirements by preparing timely and accurate financial documentation.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
2. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in finance role within practice or industry.
3. Strong Excel skills desirable.
4. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively.
