Head of Finance South Dublin Salary €115k This professional services organisation are about to embark on a transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial function and support corporate governance. This is a key leadership position responsible for financial planning, reporting and compliance, while also ensuring the company meets its legal and regulatory obligations as a corporate entity. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals. Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making at the executive and board levels. Lead month-end and year-end close processes. Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Compliance & Risk Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements. Maintain strong internal controls and manage risk exposure across the business. Lead on regulatory filings, audit preparation, and financial reporting requirements. Team Management Lead and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the finance function. Company Secretarial Duties Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and corporate governance standards. Prepare and maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors, and secretaries. Organise board and shareholder meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and ensure timely filings with the Companies Registration Office (CRO). Advise the board on governance best practices, legal obligations, and procedural matters. Required Qualifications & Experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent). Minimum 15+ years post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role. Previous experience in a company secretarial or corporate governance capacity is essential. Strong knowledge of Irish financial regulations and statutory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
