Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – provides integrated research, advisory, and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities in Ireland. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site PhD position located in Carlow for research in delivering greater sustainability in Irish oat production. The candidate will be responsible for conducting field and laboratory experiments, analysing data, writing research papers and reports, and collaborating with researchers and stakeholders. The role involves contributing to the development of sustainable oat production practices in Ireland.

Qualifications

* Experience in field and laboratory research
* Data analysis and statistical skills
* Strong writing and research report preparation skills
* Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and crop production
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
* Ability to work independently on-site in Carlow
