We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Consultant to champion a robust safety culture across a new deployment programme. You will ensure that safety is considered at all stages of planning and execution, and that deployment activities comply with companies Networks' Safety Management Systems, Policies, Procedures and Company Standards.
You will promote and embed a strong safety culture across the new deployment programme, ensuring safety is integrated into all work planning and operational activities. Ensure full compliance with the companies Networks' Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures and company standards. Monitor, investigate, report on and follow up safety-related issues including incidents, audit findings, near misses, customer complaints and safety notices. Manage the logging and tracking of contractor incidents within the Companies Networks systems, undertake audits of deployment contractor safety and quality management systems, review safety observations, internal and status reports, assess contractor safety and quality KPIs, and carry out site visits to support continuous improvement and safe working practices.

About You
As a Health and Safety Consultant supporting the new deployment programme, you will play a key role in safeguarding people, customers and assets while enabling the successful delivery of a large-scale national infrastructure programme. You will act as a subject matter expert for health and safety, working closely with internal stakeholders and external deployment contractors to ensure that safety is embedded into planning, decision-making and day-to-day operations.
This role requires a proactive and visible presence across the deployment, providing assurance that all activities are carried out in compliance with the companies Networks' Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures and statutory obligations. You will support continuous improvement by identifying trends, analysing safety performance data and driving corrective and preventive actions.
You will also contribute to the development and implementation of safety initiatives, promote positive safety behaviours, and provide guidance and challenge where required to maintain high safety standards. Through audits, site visits and performance reviews, you will help strengthen contractor safety management and ensure consistent application of best practice across the programme.
