FP&A Analyst
A well-established global trading firm with a sizeable presence in Dublin is looking to hire an FP&A Analyst into its European finance team. This is a newly created role, so it's ideal for someone who likes building things from scratch rather than inheriting messy processes and spreadsheets.
The focus of this role is cost analysis, management information and commercial insight. You'll take full ownership of how costs are tracked, allocated and reported across the European business, working closely with senior stakeholders locally and with finance colleagues in the US. It's not a passive reporting role - you'll be expected to challenge, interpret the numbers and help the business make better decisions.
You'll be working in a fast-moving trading environment with exposure to front office teams and senior management. This suits someone who's naturally curious, enjoys problem-solving and wants to have a visible impact rather than sitting quietly in the background.
What you'll be doing
You'll design and roll out cost reporting and analysis from the ground up, setting clear cost drivers and allocation methodologies across desks, strategies and support functions. You'll build meaningful MI for senior leadership, including cost versus budget analysis, efficiency metrics, trend analysis and forward-looking insights.
You'll own the ongoing development of reporting as the business grows, making sure it's scalable, automated where possible and genuinely useful. You'll also lead the annual budgeting process for the European business and act as a key finance partner to senior stakeholders.
There's a strong collaborative element to the role. You'll work closely with teams in the US to align methodologies, partner with Technology and Operations to improve data flows, and support strategic initiatives and investment decisions with detailed cost analysis. Ad hoc requests from senior management will come with tight deadlines, so you'll need to be comfortable working at pace.
What they're looking for
You'll be a qualified accountant with solid post-qualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance or a similar analytical role, ideally within financial services. You'll have proven experience building MI or cost frameworks from scratch, not just maintaining what already exists.
Strong Excel skills are a must, along with experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau or SQL. You'll be highly analytical, detail-focused and confident explaining complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. A proactive mindset is key - this is a role for someone who takes ownership and isn't afraid to improve how things are done.
You will have the full right to work in Ireland with no restrictions (Stamp4/EU/Irish passport).
If you want a role where you can shape processes, work closely with senior decision-makers and get real exposure to a trading environment, this one's worth a look.
OK, I am interested. What is next?
