Heavy Equipment Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a mechanical background, with a strong understanding of heavy plant, construction equipment and rental fleet.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, diagnosing faults and performing repairs. They will also conduct inspections of equipment on return hires, assess damage and report accordingly.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out preventative maintenance on heavy plant, construction equipment and rental fleet
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
* Conduct inspections of equipment on return hires
* Assess damage and report accordingly
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a mechanical background
* Experience working on heavy plant, construction equipment and rental fleet
* Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
* Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
* Valid driver's license
* Safe Pass certification
