We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Social Care Worker to join a residential care service supporting young people seeking international protection in Kilkenny.
The role involves a combination of shifts, which may include day shifts, 24-hour shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with young people in care
- Support with daily living, educational routines, and social activities
- Develop and implement placement and care plans
- Maintain care records in accordance with HIQA standards
- Work closely with external professionals and families
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents at all times
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum Level 7 degree in Social Care or related field (e.g. Applied Social Studies, Psychology, Youth & Community Work, ABA, Disability Studies)
- Or, CORU registration as a Social Care Worker
- A full clean manual driving licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a residential or similar care setting
- Knowledge of HIQA National Standards and Children First Guidelines
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Trauma-informed care training
- MAPA or TCI certification
- Experience working with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds
