This work must be carried out with a high level of attention to detail and to the best interests of the company.The Position:This is a broad role that would suit a fully qualified experienced accountant, with experience in fast paced retail environment.Prepare monthly group management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statementsOversee and assist site support staff and accounts office staffApprove and audit PayrollMonitor key financial KPIs and prepare management reports with actionable insightsAssist with cost control initiatives and profitability analysisEnsure accurate and timely financial postings and reconciliationsSupport external audit processes and compliance requirementsSupport internal audit functionIdentify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting toolsAd hoc analysis and project support as neededSupport the integration of Financial systems, including POS and inventory management software to improve financial trackingThe PersonQualified Accountant with 3-6 years PQE (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)Proven experience in a similar role ideally in a fast paced retail environmentStrong Excel skills; experience with Sage and POS systems an advantageExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of Sage 200 and Micropay desirable, but not essentialAt this time we do not require the assistance of recruitment agencies***
