Swim Max is expanding and we are recruiting a high quality leader with strong HR experience to join our Limerick team. This role requires someone who leads by action, sets clear standards, follows through every time and gets the best from people. You must be confident guiding staff face to face, steady under pressure and committed to maintaining a smooth, structured and high performing environment.
This is a hands on leadership position. You will be present on deck and in reception, supporting staff, confirming tasks are completed properly and maintaining a professional and positive atmosphere for families and team members. Fluent English is essential. You must already be living in Limerick and you must have full legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and People Management
* Lead instructors and reception staff with clarity and respect
* Build a culture based on teamwork, accountability and high standards
* Set expectations clearly and ensure they are met
* Give timely feedback and address performance issues early
* Lead by example in communication, reliability and professionalism
Operational Oversight and Follow Through
* Ensure tasks are completed fully, not just assigned
* Maintain structure and smooth daily operations
* Anticipate issues and resolve them quickly
* Maintain lesson flow, safety and presentation standards
* Keep routines reliable during busy periods
HR Focused Responsibilities
* Use HR experience to support effective people management
* Assist with conflict resolution and staff communication
* Handle sensitive discussions fairly and professionally
* Support onboarding, expectations and performance documentation
* Promote a respectful, consistent and supportive work environment
Training and Team Development
* Guide new staff through Swim Max systems and expectations
* Reinforce consistent standards at all times
* Support growth, confidence and skill development across the team
Customer Support and Escalation
* Assist staff with escalations and maintain a calm environment
* Communicate policies clearly and professionally
* Support a positive and structured experience for families
