Orange Recruitment are currently partnering with a well established cost consultancy & quantity surveying practice who has deep roots in Irish residential development.
Based in Dublin, they pride themselves on partnering with private developers to deliver projects on time, on cost, and without compromising on quality.
As demand grows, they're seeking a driven Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their office and help lead their upcoming workload.
Responsibilities
Taking ownership of cost control across multiple residential projects in the greater Dublin area: preparing, tracking, and managing budgets.
Producing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimates, and cost plans using industry tools.
Monitoring and reporting on project costs, re-measuring works as necessary, and managing variations.
Preparing valuations and progress payments, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensuring accurate and timely final accounts, reconciling costs and ensuring agreements are completed properly.
Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to keep financials transparent and projects on target.
Supporting junior team members where needed, and contributing to process improvement.
Requirements
Relevant third-level degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
5 years' experience in QS work, ideally within residential development or similar.
Strong familiarity with cost planning, BOQs, estimates.
Experience with BuildSoft, Cubit, or Mudshark preferred.
Excellent competence with MS Excel, Word, and other Office tools.
Sharp analytical skills, problem solver mindset, ability to think ahead to foresee cost risks or overruns.
Self-motivated, well organised, able to work independently but also as part of a team.
Punctual, presentable, with strong communication skills.
