About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team on an initial 6-month contract with potential opportunities for a permanent position.
You'll play a vital role in managing procurement activities, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting plant operations. Working independently, you'll source competitive quotes, negotiate pricing, recommend vendors, and ensure timely purchasing of goods and services.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and evaluating competitive quotes; negotiating pricing and terms
2. Recommending vendor selection based on reliability, cost, and quality
3. Executing purchasing strategies in alignment with Supply Chain Manager
4. Managing non-stock purchases and freight shipments (air/ocean import/export)
5. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and securing optimal pricing
6. Purchasing materials in line with inventory targets and BOM accuracy
7. Tracking order status, expediting deliveries, and resolving supply issues
8. Implementing and managing cycle counting processes
9. Assisting in maintaining optimal inventory levels and stock availability
10. Handling order confirmations, dispatch notes, credit notes, invoices, and shipping documentation
11. Resolving issues related to damaged goods, returns, and invoice discrepancies
12. Maintaining strong communication with suppliers and internal departments
13. Ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
14. Monitoring and reporting on purchasing KPIs
