Coachford Community Playgroup (CE Scheme - Childcare Assistant)
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the day‑to‑day running of our child care centre
* Providing a stimulating and varied programme of activities ensuring the wellbeing of the child
* Ensuring child safety at all times
* Maintaining the learning environment daily
Training provided in childcare QQI level 5, placement available to a maximum of three years to allow you to gain child care practitioner qualification and to gain the relevant work experience.
CEEC (Community Employment Childcare) programme is available to participants to include children up to 13 years of age.
A good standard of English is desirable. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared complete a Garda vetting application form.
