Main Function:
The WWTP Senior Technician oversees and executes advanced maintenance tasks, ensuring optimal facility and equipment performance and reliability.
This role involves implementing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues.
He/She will also ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to the WWTP
Key accountabilities
· Operates and maintains WWTP on a 2-tier rotating shift system.
This includes but is not limited to:
Sludge processing and handling equipment
Managing pumps, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum filters and other equipment used in the treatment of wastewater
Skims grease and manage sludge transfer from sludge or settling tanks to RAS or WAS
· Monitors control panels
· Adjusts valves and gates to regulate the flow of wastewater through settling, serration and sludge digestion
· Reads and interprets charts, flow meters and other gauges to determine operating efficiency of equipment
· Monitoring flow rates, water levels, and other parameters, and recording data in manual logs or computer systems.
· Performs PM plans which include routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to equipment.
· Executes necessary troubleshooting and repair through the identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions or operational problems.
· Ensures compliance with safety regulations and procedures
· Adheres to local regulations and plant permit limits for trade effluent treatment
· Adhering to CBG policies and procedures
· Conducting all other assigned tasks
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
· Certification in water treatment or wastewater treatment
· Certification in electronics and electrical engineering
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team or on own
