Job Description:
Our client, a public sector body, is recruiting Energy Engineers to join their Capital and Estates department in South Dublin.
The post holder will have full accountability for Climate Action and Sustainability services within the region. Collaborating with the local Energy Officer, the Regional Sustainability Officer will coordinate with staff and Green Teams, manage budgets, execute projects, and oversee estate management focusing on Climate Action and Sustainability, including green environments, water conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable infrastructure.
This is an initial 1-year contract role with potential for extension and permanency.

Responsibilities
* Lead Climate Action and Sustainability initiatives in the region, focusing on decarbonization, water conservation, waste reduction, and green environments.
* Collaborate with staff and Green Teams to promote sustainable practices across facilities, including hospitals and community health centers.
* Manage budgets and projects, oversee procurement, and ensure project delivery.
* Act as liaison with stakeholders, including healthcare organizations and partners.
* Provide technical support for sustainability-related maintenance.
* Ensure compliance with sustainability policies and support teams in meeting climate objectives.
Requirements
Hold a Level 8 (or higher) QQI major award in Engineering, Science, or Technology accredited by Engineers Ireland or similar.
OR
Full membership of Engineers Ireland or relevant professional body.
And
At least 3 years of relevant experience in planning, design, project management, or sustainability in buildings/public sector.
