QA Manager - Payroll Experience

You will direct and manage the full payroll project life cycle, set standards for assignments and applications, and ensure delivery of defined work packages to the client.
Effective team leadership, guidance to key business users, and proactive problem resolution are essential.
Responsibilities
Develop strategies and direct teams on payroll programs and projects.
Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets.
Use project planning tools and identify future resource needs.
Design overall test plans and processes, construct business-specific end-to-end scenarios, and define standards for test script development, deployment, and reuse.
Specify test environments for the whole life-cycle testing and ensure they reflect business requirements.
Consult with key business stakeholders to optimize application design for testability.
Allocate and coordinate test schedules, work, and resource plans; manage progress of all activities against the plan.
Provide quality assurance evaluation estimates on various projects, including team leadership and vision execution.
Diagnose problems and probe underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions.
Proactively anticipate and prevent problems, facilitate buy-in, and guide implementation of corrective and preventive actions for complex issues.
Create quality assurance procedures and user instructions for reusable processes and tools.
Define and implement quality process improvements and metric-focused defect prevention.
Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects or releases.
Provide input into proof-of-concept exercises and assist sales with pre-sales collateral.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
ISTQB Advanced Testing Management.
Additional Quality Assurance certification.
Project Management qualification.
Experience
Experience delivering payroll projects is essential.
Experience testing payroll implementations (Oracle, Irish Payroll, large payrolls).
Experience testing payroll and HR integration (Oracle).
Experience testing payroll and timeclock integration.
Excellent client-facing skills.
People-management skills and mentoring experience.
Teamwork, emotional intelligence, and self-management.
Innovative, bold thinker and doer with creativity and vigilance.
High value on openness, transparency, communication, and presentations.
Experience introducing new concepts or strategies that significantly improve business processes and implementation.
