The Role
We are a growing independent coffee brand with four busy shops, and we are looking for an ambitious, organised Commis Chef (or Senior Commis) to join our Kitchen Team.
This isn't just a "prep job." You will be at the heart of our operation, responsible for crafting the gourmet sandwiches, breakfast pots, and baked goods that our customers love. Whether you are early in your career or looking for a more structured production environment, we offer a clear pipeline to promotion for those who show drive and consistency.
Shift Patterns & Growth
To start, this is a part-time position designed to introduce you to our systems and standards. As we quickly scale our output, this role will grow into a full-time position. We are happy to be flexible and offer one of the following initial patterns:
* Option A: Mon–Fri | 06:00 – 11:00 (5x5hr shifts)
* Option B: Mon, Wed, Fri | 06:00 – 14:00 (3x 8hr shifts)
What You'll Be Doing
* Production: Following standardised recipes to create high-quality, consistent food at scale.
* Organisation: Managing your station to ensure all 4 of our coffee shops are fully stocked and orders are fulfilled on time.
* Quality Control: Maintaining our high standards for presentation and taste across our "grab-and-go" range.
* Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to HACCP, health and safety, and food hygiene standards.
* Growth: Learning the inner workings of a multi-site production operation under the guidance of our Head Chef.
What We Are Looking For
We don't need years of experience, but we do need someone who has "found their feet" in the kitchen.
* Experience: You've held at least one professional kitchen role before. You understand the pace and the pressure.
* Reliability: You are organised and take pride in completing tasks exactly as assigned.
* Attitude: A "can-do" approach. You're happy to take direction from the Head Chef and seniors and are eager to learn the "why" behind our processes.
* Standards: Basic knowledge of food handling, allergens, and kitchen safety, HACCP level 1.
* Ambition: You want to move up. We are looking for someone we can train into a Demi-CDP or CDP role as the business expands.
Why Join Us?
* Career Progression: We prefer to promote from within. We will teach you how to run a production line and manage large volume order fulfilment.
* Work-Life Balance: Unlike traditional restaurant roles, your work is done by midday or early afternoon. With no late-night finishes and a consistent weekday schedule.
* Skill Development: Master the art of high-volume prep and logistics.

If you're ready to take the next step in your culinary career, send your CV and a brief note about why you're the right fit to join our team.
