Base pay range
$22.00/hr - $30.00/hr

World-class data center seeking experienced Data Center Technician for long term project role.
Required Skills
1. Rack and stack enterprise class technology (network, storage and enterprise servers).
2. Running, tracing, dressing and testing copper and fiber cables from patch panel to device.
3. Familiarity with Patch Panels.
4. Commission and Decommission of Hardware.
5. Experience in Data Center.
Basic Responsibilities
1. Rack and stack enterprise class technology (network, storage and enterprise servers).
2. Running, tracing, dressing and testing copper and fiber cables from patch panel to device.
3. Troubleshooting and diagnostics of hardware/connectivity.
4. Commission and Decommission of Hardware.
5. Must be able to perform component replacement (DIMMs, hard drives, power supplies).
6. Adhere to Change Control Processes.
Job Requirements
Required Skills
1. Previous experience working in a complex high availability data center environment providing layer one hardware installation, ongoing maintenance, problem identification and incident resolution.
2. A strong working knowledge of data center processes and design.
3. Hands on expertise of midrange systems in large scale (100+ servers) environments- IBM, HP, Oracle, & Dell server hardware.
4. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem resolution skills and the ability to document complex problem resolution summaries and repetitive tasks interfaces through an online ticketing system.
5. Understanding of switch/port configurations.
6. Critical thinking and decision making related to outage risk assessment.
7. Strong cable management skills and experience managing fiber & copper in a data center environment.
