Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an Optometrist located in Waterford. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess and diagnose vision-related issues, monitor eye health, and provide appropriate optical prescriptions. Responsibilities include fitting contact lenses, advising patients on low vision solutions, and collaborating with the audiology team as needed. The role also involves patient education, ensuring the highest level of care, and participating in practice development initiatives.
Qualifications
* Expertise in conducting eye examinations, diagnosing vision conditions, and prescribing optical solutions
* Experience in low vision management and fitting contact lenses
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
* Proficiency with modern optometric equipment and technologies
* Experience or interest in audiology services
* Valid CORU registrstion to practice optometry in Ireland
