We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Junction 14 Mayfield, Monasterevin who may be seeking a start or experience in the culinary industry. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility as the role would demand shifts during business days as well as over weekends.

Main Duties:
* Preparing and presenting meals for food in hot and cold counter and any food that may be sold in the Grab N Go Fridge.
* Deliver a fast, fun and friendly food service experience.
* Preparing and presenting quality food items in accordance to recipes and set menus in place.
* Implement new ideas and to carry out menu planning.
* Waste control.
* To ensure the highest standard of preparation.
* Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean working environment area.
* Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written instructions.
* Ensure display counters are merchandised in a manner designed to maximise its potential.
* Organize and clean work areas.
* To maintain personal knowledge by attending all in-house training provided.
* To ensure the highest standard of personal appearance when on duty.
* Ordering in of stock, ensure stock control and stock rotation is completed.
* Always adhere to company policy set out.
* Complying with the HACCP system in place and always ensure to keep all documents up to date.
* Follow recipes according to the allergen folder.
* To ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times by staff.
* To attend management meetings and staff communication meetings regularly.
* To conduct any other duties delegated to you.
Ideal Candidate:
* Must have a passion for working with food.
* Must have basic culinary skills and looking to progress in a career in this industry.
* Both Food Hygiene and HACCP knowledge is essential.
* Must have creativity and flair regarding new meal ideas.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
* The ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing retail environment.
* Hard working and dedicated.
* Must be an enthusiastic and motivated team player.
* Must have a can do attitude.
