To grow our Engineering team in the UK and Ireland, we are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join us. You will work on a wide range of bridge and structures projects and co-create on prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK and Ireland. You’ll be supported by our engineers on your ongoing professional development (Chartership) with a tailored plan to achieve your career aspirations.
Responsibilities
* Producing engineering designs, assessments, and evaluations in accordance with project requirements
* Preparing calculations, writing reports, and checking drawings
* Checking design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
* Performing a wide variety of engineer activities including collating and understanding data, running analysis, developing calculation methods, and working with colleagues to deliver high-quality project work
* Contributing to the dissemination of engineering good practice and implementation of in-house tools such as the carbon calculation tool
* With the support of your project manager, plan and prioritise your workload, reporting progress against project budget and programme
* Delivering your own work to a high technical standard with careful self-checking
* Attending site visits or client meetings
Skills and Qualifications
* Been studying to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc)
* Aspiring to become a Chartered Engineer
* Experience of working in an engineering environment (e.g., year in industry or summer placements)
* Familiar with UK standards or equivalent European/Euro Codes
* Understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designers' requirements
* Demonstrated deep interest in engineering and a commitment to technical excellence
* Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team
* Good communication skills and teamwork
