Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Social Care Worker to provide care and support to adolescents in a secure care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming and caring environment, as well as ensuring high standards of childcare practice throughout the unit.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents, ideally in a residential care or secure care environment. A relevant degree in Social Care is also required. Flexibility to work a roster arrangement as required is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide care and support to adolescents from ages 12–17 years.
* Contribute to the promotion, creation, and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment.
* Ensure that all relevant records within the unit are updated regularly.
* Support young people to engage with educational activities.
* Support young people in maintaining contact and access visits with their family.
* Adhere to organisational policies and reporting requirements.
* Observe and record observations of the young people in the care of the service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working with adolescents in a residential care or secure care environment.
