We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team as a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist.
\
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing treatment programs for service users in accordance with our service standards.
\
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking to gain valuable experience in mental health within a well-structured team.

You will have the support of experienced therapists with expertise across general adult and specialist mental health services.
\
The Adult Occupational Therapy Service provides services to various clinical areas, including community mental health teams, community rehabilitation teams, and more.
\

Key Responsibilities:
\

1. Assess and develop treatment plans for service users
\
2. Manage caseloads in accordance with service needs
\
3. Collaborate with service users, family, carers, and other staff in treatment planning
\
4. Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes according to local service and professional standards
\
5. Communicate results of assessments and treatment plans to relevant parties
\
6. Maintain quality standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audit
\
7. Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics, and legislation
\
\
Requirements:
\
\
8. BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
\
9. CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
\
10. Previous experience in mental health desirable
\
11. HSE mandatory training completed (or willingness to complete before starting)
\
12. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
\
13. A collaborative, recovery-oriented, and person-centred approach
\
14. Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
\
