Key Responsibilities:

* Provide psychological services to adults with intellectual disabilities across North Kildare and West Dublin.
">
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support service users, their families, and frontline staff.
">
* Conduct assessments, develop therapeutic interventions, and provide ongoing support.
">
* Engage in research, service evaluation, and supervision of junior psychologists or trainees.
">

Essential Requirements:
">
A university degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) with Psychology as a major subject, with honours, and an Irish postgraduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health – written proof of validation required).

Minimum of 5 years' postgraduate experience in professional psychology, including no more than 3 years spent obtaining the postgraduate qualification and at least 2 years' full-time post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
">
Demonstrated competence in working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
">
Excellent communication and organizational skills (oral and written).
">
Full clean driver's license and access to own vehicle.
">
Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
">
Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence.
">
Expertise in providing psychological support for mental health challenges, dementia, or behaviours of concern.
">
Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) assessment and intervention.
">
Proficiency in psychometric assessments, including dementia-specific tools.
">
Ability to design, implement, and monitor therapeutic interventions.
">
Experience collaborating with teams, families, and other professionals.
">
Interest in or experience with research in intellectual disability.
">
