Our client, a well-established and reputable small to medium-sized accountancy practice based in Co.
Kildare, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least 2 years' Irish practice experience who is looking to broaden their audit exposure in a supportive, collaborative, and community-focused firm.
Working with a diverse portfolio of local SMEs, family-owned businesses, and growing companies, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience and enjoy genuine opportunities for professional development.
The Role
Lead and manage audit assignments for a range of SME clients across various sectors
Plan, execute, and complete audits in line with relevant auditing standards
Supervise and support junior team members, offering guidance and mentorship
Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact during audits
Prepare audit files for partner review and assist with the finalisation of financial statements
Identify control weaknesses and provide practical, value-adding recommendations
Requirements
ACA or ACCA-qualified Chartered Accountant
Minimum 2 years' experience in a practice-based audit role
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles
Excellent communication skills and a personable, client-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a busy practice environment
Experience with audit software (e.g., CaseWare) is an advantage but not essential

€65,000 – €70,000
