Working closely with the Site Manager and project team, the role ensures that all works are constructed to the correct dimensions, levels, and locations throughout the project lifecycle.The Setting Out Engineer plays a key role in quality control, coordination with subcontractors, and maintaining accurate site records to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting Out & Survey ControlCarry out setting out duties in accordance with construction drawings and specificationsEnsure accurate positioning of structures, foundations, services, and finishesCheck and verify line, level, and alignment of works on siteMaintain survey control and reference points throughout the projectDrawings, Information & Quality ControlReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design detailsIdentify discrepancies or issues in drawings and report to the Site Manager and design teamCarry out quality checks to ensure works are built to the correct tolerancesMaintain accurate records of setting out checks and inspectionsCoordination & Site SupportWork closely with Site Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, and design teamsProvide setting out support to subcontractors and site operativesAssist with planning and sequencing of works to avoid errors or reworkAttend site and coordination meetings as requiredHealth & SafetyEnsure setting out activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety requirementsPromote safe working practices on siteEnsure equipment is used safely and correctlyRecords & ReportingMaintain site records, surveys, and as-built informationAssist with preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentationUisce Éireann as-built documentationReport progress, issues, or potential delays to the Site ManagerQualifications & ExperienceDegree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related disciplineExperience in a Setting Out Engineer role within construction (or strong graduate experience)Proficiency in setting out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levelsAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: €65,000.00-€75,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
