OverviewThe Associate Director (Civils) will be responsible for leading complex civil engineering projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to business development activities. This is a senior role requiring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent client management skills.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage civil engineering projects across sectors, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.Provide technical oversight and guidance on design, construction, and infrastructure projects.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.Drive business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and supporting tender processes.Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across projects.Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives for the civil engineering division.Essential Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional qualification in Civil Engineering.Minimum 10–12 years of experience in civil engineering consultancy, with significant experience in project management and client-facing roles.Proven track record in delivering major infrastructure, transportation, or utilities projects.Strong technical knowledge in civil design, construction, and project lifecycle management.Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.Business development experience, including proposal preparation and client engagement.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to drive business growth and manage complex projects.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets and resources efficiently.Commitment to continuous professional development and fostering a culture of learning.
