Role Description
The UCD School of Music is seeking an Associate Conductor for the 2025–26 academic year. Open to students and non-students, this position is intended as an apprenticeship to aid in the development of an early-career conductor. The successful candidate shall assist in the regular rehearsal and performance schedule of the UCD Symphony Orchestra and UCD Philharmonic Choir, working closely with the Artistic Director of each ensemble. The Directors will mentor them on aspects of score preparation, rehearsal strategies, and conducting technique, with potential opportunities to direct sectional/full rehearsals and live performances.
A bursary of €3,000 is offered, along with a contribution to related expenses.
