Overview
Grant Thornton Ireland is expanding its Audit and Assurance team. This role exposes you to a range of industries and international collaboration with clients both locally and globally. You will lead audit engagements and contribute to the growth of the firm’s client base.
Responsibilities
* Lead audit engagements for clients, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality audit services.
* Foster strong client relationships through regular communication, understanding business challenges, and identifying opportunities for value-added services.
* Ensure audit engagements comply with industry regulations, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), and the firm\'s audit methodologies.
* Supervise and mentor audit staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
* Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the sector.
* Participate in preparing and presenting proposals to prospective clients, contributing to growth and expansion of the firm\'s client base.
Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA qualified
* Minimum 7+ years’ experience
* Strong technical skills (Irish GAAP and auditing standards; IFRS experience an advantage but not essential)
* Electronic auditing experience and ability to motivate and manage staff under tight deadlines
* Ability to make professional judgments based on findings
* Portfolio management experience
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Experience working as part of a team supporting others
* Commercial awareness
* Experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm would be advantageous
