SENIOR MANAGER SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE: AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a Silicon Engineering group and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation of computing technologies.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead a high-performance engineering team
2. Form a team and nurture talent
3. Lead team, meet schedule commitments and provide strong support to customers
4. Collaborate with multi-functional leaders to drive AMD's success
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1. A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team
2. Strong mentoring and coaching skills
3. Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams
4. Experience in design of High Performance Data Converters and/or High Speed (GHz) circuits
5. Prior experience in optimizing performance (client, server, system, or embedded)
6. Strong system and software engineering background
7. Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for executives as well as drill down to details with architects and engineers
8. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments
9. Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
10. Prior experience managing technical teams
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering
