Overview
Development Infrastructure Engineer – AECOM, Dublin, Ireland. The team delivers development infrastructure schemes for local and national projects and requires a Senior Engineer to join the Dublin office.
Responsibilities
* Design and development of storm and foul drainage networks for housing, industrial and commercial applications.
* Use of industry standard software models including Microdrainage; knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments; drafting of design drawings (including where applicable 3D applications); report writing; site inspections.
* Supervision of CAD Technicians to produce detailed design drawings efficiently; management of project-related correspondence; provide support on project costs and programme.
* Work closely with private and public sector clients as well as multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* A degree in Civil Engineering, and working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
* Experience in a design role with experience in some or all of: Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems; storm and foul gravity collection networks; rising pumping stations and rising mains; water main distribution pipelines; attenuation and flow control elements; package wastewater treatment systems; Section 50 applications and Flood Risk Assessments.
* Familiar with Road and Pavement design including working knowledge of DMRB and DMURS.
* Site suitability assessments and drainage planning requirements.
* Excellent written communication skills; ability to integrate into the existing engineering team.
* Knowledge of drainage design software such as WinDes (Microdrainage).
* Experience in the preparation of Public Works Contracts; familiarity with the Capital Works Management Framework is desirable.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit or similar drafting and BIM packages.
* Familiarity with Engineers Ireland’s Code of Ethics and working towards Chartered Engineer status.
* Full clean driving licence.
