Job Description Dunnes Stores is building a tax centre of excellence to proactively help the business to grow whilst also meeting the increasing digital legislation demands being set at an international level.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, we are seeking tax professionals that are interested in growing their tax, business and technology skills.
Becoming a trusted advisor to the Shareholders and other senior leadership across retail sectors within the business.
Guiding tax automation and tax governance for the future.
Working collaboratively with other tax, finance, legal and technology colleagues to ensure Dunnes Stores is approaching the digital era internationally in a cohesive and adaptable manner.
Key responsibilities: Preparation of returns and management of direct tax & transfer pricing compliance lifecycle for Dunnes Stores group Pillar Two reporting Transfer pricing methodologies and documentation Monitoring international legislative changes that may impact Dunnes Stores Group Tax advisory support and building trusted partnerships Driving continuous improvements, including setting requirements for automation and digital reporting capabilities Developing leadership reporting and forecasting to increase efficiency and effectiveness to positively contribute strategic value to the business Detailed responsibilities: Preparation and review of corporate tax returns and related filings Preparation of country-by-country reporting and related Transfer Pricing filings Preparation of Pillar 2 reporting Preparation and maintenance of all documentation required to meet Transfer Pricing regulations and guidelines.
Support and maintenance of all documentation required to meet Tax governance requirements.
Creating tax requirements documentation for legislative changes or business projects for system or process changes required and project engagement to completion.
Working closely with Indirect Tax to ensure appropriate reconciliation and audit readiness as a result of digital legislation Liaising with professional consultants as required to ensure all corporate tax calculations and adjustments necessary are finalised and filings are complete and accurate.
Developing accurate complete and timely automated reports for Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing by providing clear requirements to the areas responsible for data capture, tax configuration and report development Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of people, process, and technology to meet direct tax and transfer pricing obligations.
Keeping up to date with legislation, regulations, guidance, and interpretations through case law for all jurisdictions where DS trade and provide Head of department with regular updates.
Supporting Head of Tax in providing clear guidance and governance to all finance areas of their obligations in relation to transfer pricing and other direct taxes and monitoring to ensure they are meeting same.
Ensuring appropriate segregation of duties for data preparation, analysis, review, and approvals when engaging with business on tax matters.
To seek approval from shareholders for all prioritized changes, submissions, and payments necessary Essential skills: Qualified AITI or equivalent 7+ years Corporate Tax experience Transfer Pricing experience Excellent written, oral, analytical and presentation skills The ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax audiences Strong team player with a commitment to ensure team success Preferred skills: Experience working on digital legislation/ tax automation implementation projects Pillar 2 reporting Transfer pricing documentation International experience Compliance and reporting Governance documentation Benefits: Competitive salary.
