Role Description
This position requires a skilled purchasing professional to interact with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to achieve business objectives.
Key Tasks
* Sourcing goods and services at competitive prices while meeting quality and lead time requirements.
* Procurement coordination, including purchase requisitions, orders, and supplier delivery monitoring.
* Urgent order expediting to support production needs, with a focus on achieving a high delivery rate.
* BUILDING strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to drive collaboration and mutual benefits.
* Supporting the introduction of new parts by setting up purchasing-related data accurately and promptly.
* Performing administrative tasks, such as maintaining computer files, filing documents, and updating records of agreements and assessments.
* Contributing to the development of strategic supplier relationships and reducing inventory levels.
* Evaluating and improving supplier performance, addressing on-time delivery, quality concerns, communication effectiveness, cost savings, and process enhancements.
* Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives across direct and indirect expenses.
* Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws.
Essential Qualifications
* At least 3 years of experience in purchasing electronics or electromechanical components using an MRP system.
* Experience working in a manufacturing or design environment, preferably with ISO 9001 or EN/AS9100 certification.
* A degree or certification in a relevant technical or engineering field would be beneficial.
