Our client a leading International Financial Services requires Contract Application Developer/ Support Engineer for 12 months daily rate role based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
The role requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days per week.
Requirements
10+ years’ experience in software development, predominantly in Finance related industry. Accounting/Investment or Insurance industry context ideal.
You will have a specialisation in developing and deploying applications using VB.Net, VB6, C# and SQL.
Experience in application architecture design, database design, object modelling, and software development life cycle.
Design and development of relational database systems on Oracle. SQL Server experience an added advantage.
Followed Object Oriented best practices to enhance extensibility and code reuse and the use of patterns where applicable.
Full life cycle development from conception through maintenance.
Team Player who can work through all the established development life cycle methodologies from Waterfall to Agile.
Customer Facing Experience e.g. dealing with queries from users, providing application support, problem diagnosis and resolution.
Education
B Sc./M Sc. or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related discipline.
Technical Expertise
Languages: C#, VB.Net, VB6, VBA, SQL
Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MS-Access
Database Tools: Oracle PL SQL SQL Server Enterprise DTS, SSIS etc
Design Methodologies: Structured Design, OO Desig, E-R Modelling,
Web Technologies: JavaScript, JQuery, Knockout JS, AngularJS, Ruby, Bootstrap, HTML
Web App Frameworks: Angular, React
