Technical Sales Specification Manager ( Remote - Ireland/UK)About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specification Manager to lead specification growth and commercial development within the specialist coatings and fire protection sector across the UK and Ireland.This role combines technical expertise, solution-based selling, and strategic market influence. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and asset owners to ensure fire protection coating systems are correctly specified, compliant, and commercially positioned for success.You will act as a trusted technical advisor from project concept through to completion, delivering training, CPDs, and on-site support while developing strong market relationships and converting specifications into commercial wins.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and convert a pipeline of specification opportunities across coatings including fire protection systemsProduce accurate and compliant technical specifications aligned with industry standards and legislationBuild strategic relationships with key influencers such as architects, consultants, contractors and specifiersDeliver CPD sessions, technical presentations, demonstrations and trainingProvide on-site technical guidance, troubleshooting and adviceWork collaboratively with internal sales and technical teams to convert specifications into secured ordersMaintain accurate CRM data and provide reporting on performance, KPIs and pipeline forecastingAttend industry events, exhibitions and forums as a technical brand ambassadorMonitor market trends, innovation, competitor activity and emerging opportunitiesIdentify and drive improvements to processes, customer experience and commercial outcomesSkills, Experience and KnowledgeEssentialMinimum 5 years experience in technical sales, specification sales, coatings, construction or building materialsStrong technical knowledge of coatings, fire protection systems and relevant regulationProven track record of winning and managing high value specification projectsConfident presenting technical content to diverse audiencesAdvanced communication, negotiation and commercial influencing skillsFull UK or Irish driving licence and willingness to travelCompetent in CRM platforms and Microsoft OfficeDesirableKnowledge of EN fire standards, BIM, CAD or digital specification systemsRelevant qualification in sales, business, marketing or technical disciplineExisting industry network across architects, contractors or distribution partnersExperience delivering accredited CPD sessionsPersonal AttributesSelf motivated, results focused and able to work independentlyProfessional, confident and influential communicatorExcellent planning, analytical and problem solving abilityConsultative, relationship focused and solutions drivenResilient, adaptable and proactiveHow to ApplyIf you believe you have the experience, motivation and technical capability to excel in this role, we would love to hear from you.Apply now to learn more.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
