Senior Engineer – Cork
DOE: €75K – €80K + Vehicle & Package
Overview
Our client, an established main contractor delivering projects across Ireland, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team on a project in Cork.
The successful candidate will lead the site engineering function, coordinating with management to oversee setting-out, quality, records, temporary works, and lifting operations in line with company procedures.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates advanced competence in dimensional control, grid coordination and tolerance management across multiple interfaces.
Manages and oversees survey equipment, ensuring site and graduate engineers take ownership and produce accurate as-built surveys.
Applies strong technical knowledge across key packages, with a clear understanding of project specifications and structural tolerances.
Leads quality control processes, including Inspection & Test Plans, non-conformance management and timely close-out of NCRs.
Reviews and prepares method statements, risk assessments, permits to break ground and maintains accurate daily site records.
Proactively manages RFIs, identifying missing information and resolving issues efficiently.
