Permanent PIC Social Care Service Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Care Manager to lead our Disability Residential Service in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
About the Role:
The Person in Charge (PIC) will be responsible for providing comprehensive, tailored care for individuals in a disability residential service. The successful candidate will demonstrate great knowledge and understanding of governance, leadership, operational management, residents, staffing, financial stewardship, and community partnership working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Governance: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and services.
* Operational Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, resident care, and facility maintenance.
* Residents and Support Staffing: Coordinate and manage support staff, ensuring adequate resources and skilled personnel.
* Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources.
* Community Partnership Working: Foster partnerships with local organizations and agencies to enhance services and opportunities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Social Care Studies, Social Care Management, or equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care.
* Postgraduate qualification in Social Care Management or Management desirable.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in senior supervisory/management roles, with at least 3 years in similar level of responsibility.
* Excellent understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral levels in relation to Social Care within disability services.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults or children in an environment that promotes their rights, safety, and well-being.
* Fully clean driving licence and ability to travel.
