Post Summary A vacancy has arisen for an experienced professional in the position of Deputy Security Operations Manager within the Estates and Facilities (E&F) Department of Trinity College Dublin.
The purpose of the role is to support and deputise for the Security Operations Manager, in planning and managing the provision of high-quality security services which create a welcome and safe environment across all campuses to the students, staff and visitors of Trinity College Dublin.
The Deputy Security Operations Manager will be responsible for day-to-day delivery aspects of our security service, supporting management of our experienced in-house team of approx 30 security staff and a supplementary, externally contracted provider.
The role will contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a modernised security strategy for the department.
It will review and propose solutions for the development of team skillsets through appropriate training and support management of related support services such as CCTV, access control, intruder alarms etc.
The role will support the development and implementation of best business practice to improve effectiveness, enhance efficiency, increase productivity and deliver demonstrable quality and value through a customer focused service.
The role will act as an informed reviewer and advisor to the wider College community to enable and ensure high profile stakeholder plans and major events occur safely by partaking in significant and collaborative engagement.
This will include for engagement with statutory bodies, such as An Garda Siochana, to ensure high calibre responses to all emergency situation levels.
This is a prominent and influential position requiring a proven professional with experience in planning and delivering high-quality security services within a similar environment.
The successful candidate will possess the personal and operational credibility to support the leadership of the Security team, ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional security standards 24/7/365, aligning with the Universitys national and international reputation.
Post status: Permanent Contract Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale ( €58,999 - €69,325 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
