This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional to step into a senior role, leading on the delivery of complex building acoustics, environmental noise, and infrastructure projects, while supporting business growth and mentoring the next generation of consultants.The RoleAs a Senior / Principal Consultant, you’ll take ownership of projects from start to finish, including client liaison, technical delivery, and project management. You will play a key role in shaping high-profile projects across commercial, residential, and transport sectors, while helping to grow the consultancy’s presence in Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading acoustic assessments, noise and vibration modelling, and the production of technical reports.Managing project delivery across multiple sectors, ensuring high standards and timely completion.Building and maintaining strong client relationships.Supporting business development activities and contributing to proposal writing.Mentoring and guiding junior colleagues.Attending site visits and client meetings across Ireland and occasionally the UK.About You6+ years’ consultancy experience in acoustics.Strong knowledge of building acoustics, environmental noise, and relevant standards (e.g. BS4142, BS8233, BB93).Skilled in modelling software such as CadnaA or SoundPLAN.Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.Chartered status (IOA or equivalent) desirable.Full UK/Irish driving licence.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary (€60,000 – €75,000 depending on experience).Private healthcare and pension scheme.25+ days annual leave plus bank holidays.Hybrid working and flexible hours.Structured progression opportunities up to Director level and beyond.If you are an experienced acoustics consultant looking to take on a leadership role in Cork, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today or contact Abi King at Penguin Recruitment for more details.Penguin Recruitment is operating as a Recruitment Agency in respect to this position.
