HV Stations Designers Job Description
ESB Networks is seeking highly skilled and experienced HV Stations Designers to join our team. As an HV Stations Designer, you will be responsible for designing safe network solutions within your discipline.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative but also as part of a larger design team. You will be required to follow schedules set down by your design manager and deliver high-quality designs while adhering to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining Commercial Focus: Preparing least cost technically acceptable designs that meet company standards;
* Liaising with Stakeholders: Negotiating with Local Authorities, landowners, and other parties to obtain routes for underground cables and overhead lines in accordance with legislation and policies;
* Fulfilling Health & Safety Requirements: Complying with health & safety legislation and environmental regulations;
* Maintaining Knowledge Base: Gaining and maintaining excellent knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical networks depending on specific area of work and expertise;
About the Role,
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ESB Network Assets including substations, lines, cables protection,&c;. They should have at least 3 years' experience in relevant roles
,and hold an Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or higher qualification.
