Automation Engineer
Location: Cork, Dublin, Ireland (Projects across Water & Wastewater Treatment, Repair & Maintenance, Operations Sites)
Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team, specializing in industrial automation projects across water and wastewater treatment, repair and maintenance frameworks, and operational sites.
This role is ideal for engineers with a strong background in Allen Bradley systems and a proven record of delivering high-quality automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Drive systems
Preparation of Functional, Software, and Hardware Design Specifications (FDS/SDS/HDS) to meet process and user requirements
On-site support for commissioning, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance
Troubleshooting control panels and intelligent motor starters
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Essential Skills & Experience:
5–10 years' experience in industrial automation (preferably within water/wastewater sectors)
Advanced knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI programming software
Proficiency with AVEVA Intouch or Ignition SCADA packages, and SQL/OPC server integration
Level 8 degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent)
Full Irish driving license
Desirable:
Experience with Siemens PLCs
Knowledge of radio telemetry, RTUs, and GSM dial-out units
