This is an exciting opportunity to take on a critical role in ensuring the resilience and recoverability of our organisation's IT services. As a Senior Business Continuity Specialist, you will play a key part in planning, testing, and continuously improving our enterprise-level Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity frameworks.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years' experience in a dedicated Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity role, with 5+ years overall experience in IT or IT risk-related functions. You will be hands-on with enterprise-level DR testing and have a solid understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure, Microsoft 365, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.

You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to develop, test, and improve DR and BCM plans, maintain and update Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk Impact Assessments (RIA), and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). You will also plan and coordinate regular DR testing exercises and ensure that DR and BCM processes align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business teams. Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers is also essential.

* Lead and manage Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities across all IT systems and services

* Collaborate with business owners, IT teams, and third-party vendors to develop, test, and improve DR and BCM plans

* Evaluate evolving risks and technology trends to recommend improvements to resilience measures

* Assist in responding to major incidents and ensure business services are restored quickly and efficiently

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. 2+ years' experience in a dedicated Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity role

2. 5+ years overall experience in IT or IT risk-related functions

3. Hands-on experience with enterprise-level DR testing
">
4. Solid understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

5. Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST2, or CIS Controls
">
6. Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business teams
">
7. Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers
">
8. Relevant third-level degree or equivalent professional experience

9. Industry certifications such as CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are an advantage
