Job Role
The Mechanical Team Lead will oversee and manage a team of employees by communicating organizational goals, safety protocols, and deadlines to the team. They will inspire team members, assess performance, provide assistance to management, including hiring and training, and keep management updated on team performance.
* Coordinates with Production Manager at the start of each shift to establish clear expectations for work to be completed during the shift and reports out at the end of each shift to summarize the status of work completed.
* Effectively manages the performance of team members, addressing any ongoing issues through the company's disciplinary/grievance procedures if required.
* Provides performance review input and participates in interviewing new hire candidates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plans project activity for the shift and assigns mechanical team members appropriate tasks.
2. Oversees mechanical team members during the shift to assure compliance with all safety policies, quality practices & productivity expectations applicable to the work being performed.
3. Provides real-time guidance to Mechanical Team Members to address any issues affecting completion of planned work assignments (technical, procedural, material-related, etc.).
