Position Brand Description
The Lilly Scientist – API/Dry Product Network is rapidly expanding. The ADN RAMP team is a cross‑functional group that supports launch and ramp‑up of new sites, delivering operational excellence, rapid troubleshooting, and surge capacity. The role supports-site start‑up through direct technical execution, coaching, and strong collaboration to develop local technical and operational teams.
Key Objectives & Deliverables
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Contamination Control Strategy for new site facilities, including:
* Facility / Utility Controls: design, validate, support routine and batch‑specific environmental monitoring; validate clean utility microbiological programs; support aseptic qualification; liaise on design requirements such as pressurization cascades, area classification, personnel flows, etc.
* Material Controls: provide microbiological support for raw materials and resin management; collaborate with QA on vendor and GMP material controls.
* Equipment Controls: coordinate cleaning validation microbial requirements; support cGMP autoclave/washer qualification; assist PSQ studies for media and buffer hold time; liaise on filtration requirements.
* Product Controls: enforce microbiological requirements for integrated product control, handle non‑conforming results, trend analysis, and deviation management; update procedural/batch records; stay current on industry guidelines.
Basic Requirements
* BSc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related science with 8‑10 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
* MSc with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
Additional Skills & Preferences
* Deep technical interest in Contamination Control Strategy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Collaborative with operations, process engineering, QCL, and other teams.
* Technical knowledge of microbial and viral product control.
* Ability to coach and influence without authority.
* Willingness to work off‑shift hours and support travel to startup sites.
Other Information
The role supports multiple new API/Dry Product sites in the U.S. and abroad. Significant travel and potential short‑term assignments are required. Candidates must be mobile and flexible.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $64,500 – $167,200 (annual). Full‑time employees are eligible for a company bonus, 401(k), pension, healthcare, dental, vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
