This role suits someone with a background in all aspects of construction.Role ResponsibilitiesEnsure the client's expectations are met by delivering a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and amicable relations with design teams and client representatives.Maintain high standards in health & safety, quality, and client service, ensuring contracts are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and snag-free.Report progress accurately and promptly to the Contracts Manager.Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure their work meets required standards with minimal rework.Plan, coordinate, execute the works, and deliver the project as per contract documents.Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and supply chain.Resource and schedule work in line with the project construction program.Work closely with the project QS to address upcoming issues.Additional ResponsibilitiesManage daily site operations, supervise and monitor labor and subcontractors.Health and SafetyDeliver works in the safest manner possible, with support from the Site Manager, EHS Advisor, and Contracts Manager, complying with legislative requirements.Ensure contractors execute works as per approved method statements and risk assessments.Conduct daily site briefings to manage interface risks between subcontractors.Maintain high standards of housekeeping.Report safety incidents or accidents to the Safety Advisor and Company Directors as per protocols.Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.Aim for Zero Harm on all worksites.Technical/QualitySupervise site engineering activities like setting out and surveying.Ensure snag-free project delivery to client satisfaction.Coordinate with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Services Coordinator for timely information sharing.Resolve technical difficulties arising from revised details or on-site situations.Ensure materials and work meet specifications and drawings.Manage inspection and testing plans and sign-off records.Oversee RFI and submittals processes, maintaining registers.ManagementAct as the first point of contact for client and designer liaison on-site.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, QS, and workforce for successful project completion.Manage requisition processes for materials and equipment.Familiarize with contract documents from the client/architect.Monitor progress against the contract schedule and escalate delays.Assist in developing and revising project schedules with the Contracts Manager and Planner.Minimum 2-5 years experience as a Site Manager.Relevant qualifications in Construction/Project Management (preferred).Deep knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.Proficient in MS Office, project management software, or similar.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Strong eye for finishes and proven track record of delivering projects on time.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Self-motivated, good judgment, and able to work under pressure.Effective manager capable of motivating the workforce.Commercial awareness of market and competitor trends.What’s in it for you?Company Vehicle, Laptop, and PhoneOpportunities for progressionFlexibility between office locations in Sligo and MaynoothSupport for professional development and qualifications with recognized bodiesCPD trainingLife insurance and other lifestyle benefits like Bike to Work, Gym membershipEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLoyalty rewards and referral schemesSocial clubKilcawley Construction is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
