We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our clients' team in the Southwest region, a Civil and Groundworks contractor. Our client delivers civil, drainage, and infrastructure packages for both residential and commercial developers.This is a site-based role focused on technical accuracy and project delivery.We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of professional experience who is proficient in setting out and technical oversight.This role offers a balance of field-based engineering and office-based co-ordination (Reporting/QA).This role is ideal for a candidate who is "hands-on," technically sound, and possesses the organisational skills required to manage the quality and flow of a busy construction site.Role & ResponsibilitiesAccurate setting out for excavations, drainage, and concrete works using Total Station/GPS, ensuring all infrastructure is built to the correct line and level.Working closely with the site team to interpret civil drawings and specifications, resolving any technical discrepancies before they impact the program.Maintaining the Quality Assurance (QA) files, including pre-pour inspections, as-built surveys, and material testing records.Ensuring all site activities comply with strict health and safety protocols and assisting in the implementation of Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS).Monitoring site progress and variations, assisting the management team with the quantification of works for weekly reports and progress claims.Liaising between the site crews, plant operators, and the Senior Contracts Manager to ensure efficient material orders and plant utilisation.Skills & Experience2+ years’ experience specifically within the Civil or Groundworks sector.Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel is essential.A Full Driving Licence is essential, as you will be required to travel between sites in Clare and Limerick.Previous Irish site experience is preferred due to familiarity with local building regulations and ground conditions.Strong verbal and written English is required for coordinating with site teams and producing technical reports.Pay & PackageCompetitive pay, depending on experience.Fuel expenses for work-related site travel.What's nextIf you are interested in this role, please apply through LinkedIn with an updated CV.
